Five years today my bestbud and I made a decision (probably our first and greatest decision since GOD brought us together). We were full of fears then. But we smiled and pinky-promised that it will be worth it and nothing will ever change, rather it will be better.
Five years today @ 10 am my bestbud and I agreed to keep our friendship as we put our relationship to the next level.
Exactly 5 years today my bestbud and I have proved that a relationship anchored in friendship could withstand whatever trials.
Exactly 5 years today my hands never again felt so empty cause my bestbud has been holding it since then.
And exactly 5 years today I remember I told myself that it is he who made me want to become a better person and persistently improve myself (of course with the help of the ONE who wrote our story, GOD).
And now looking at where we are I can’t help but say thank you to my bes for being so brave that morning of 2007 to express what he needed to confess through a song (Ikaw pala – Sugar free). ^_^

I have a past. A past that wasn’t honoring God. A past that was broken, and hurt, and troubled. A past where I was used, and I was the user, and I crept up on boundaries that weren’t glorifying my Maker. A past that lost so many people like my sister and my grandparents, and my other loved ones. A past that allowed me to give my heart away in ways I didn’t know would bruise me. & the ONLY reason why I can stand here today, completely restored in heart, redeemed, forgiven, loved, happy, independent, and the ONLY reason I have any good quality that you may find in me… is because of the never ending grace, mercy, love, forgiveness, redemption, from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He’s not a religion, He’s not a concept. He frees, He redeems, He heals, He does miracles. He did this in my life. So when you see me, don’t think I am who I am because of my own doing. See me as as a NEW creation because Jesus Christ. Not perfect, but loved by a perfect God.
